Letter of Credit for a Houston Textile Importer Sourcing from India

The Challenge
The importer had an established relationship with a domestic supplier but was moving to a lower-cost manufacturer in Tamil Nadu for the first time. The overseas supplier required a confirmed Letter of Credit before committing production capacity. The importer's existing bank did not offer trade finance products, leaving them without a clear path to issue the instrument.

We prepared the LC application package, coordinated the document requirements with both parties, and managed the issuance process. The sight LC was issued in the importer's favor within 12 business days of engagement.
The Result
The supplier commenced production immediately upon receiving the LC. The shipment arrived on schedule, documents were presented without discrepancy, and payment was released cleanly. The importer has since used the same facility for two additional orders with the same supplier.
